Nigerian powerhouse Enyimba FC were handed a somewhat tough draw in the group stage of the Total CAF Confederation Cup (TotalCAFCC) as they were drawn against Algerian side ES Setif and Orlando Pirates of South Africa.
The People’s Elephant dug deep to eliminate compatriots Rivers United on Sunday after a pulsating penalty shootout at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt.
The reward for Fatai Osho’s men is more work for their hardwork as they have been drawn against teams with good history and antecedents in the competition, with Libyan side Al Ahly Benghazi completing the group.

The last time Enyimba were drawn in the same group with ES Setif, the Algerians were thrown out of the group stage of the CAF Champions League in 2016 for crowd disturbance; Enyimba also failed to advance from the group.
Setif were the beaten finalists in the Confederation Cup in 2009 and will face South Africans Pirates, also beaten finalists in 2015, in their first group game on March 10.
