Nigerian star Ibrahim Olawoyin picked up the Man of the Match (MoTM) gong after he inspired his side Ankara Keçiorengucu to a 1-3 win over Altay in a Turkish Lig 1 game on Sunday night.
The capital club went in search of their first win of the season at the den of Altay who were relegated from the Super Lig at the end of last season with manager Taner Taskin starting Olawoyin in his favourite left wing role.
The enterprising star made a lovely start to the game and it was no surprise when his slide-rule pass allowed Hamza Gur to give Keçiorengucu a deserved lead in the 22nd minute.
Olawoyin then saw his shot from outside the box deflect via Kutay Yokuslu beyond Altay goalkeeper Ozan Ozenc in the 56th minute to increase his side lead to 2-0, leaving the hosts with a mountain to climb.

Marco Paixao’s volleyed effort from a corner kick handed Altay a lifeline ten minutes from time but their hope of a comeback was quickly extinguished one minute later when Olawoyin embarked on a run down the left flank before squaring for Bekir Karadeniz who finished with aplomb.
Former Rangers International star Olawoyin who was named Man of The Match (MoTM) was then substituted in stoppage time to a warm applause from the traveling supporters and a section of the home fans who appreciated his input. He now has three assists from three games this term.
With their first win of the season done with, Ankara Keçiorengucu will next face newly promoted Sakaryaspor on Match Day Four next Sunday.
