U23AFCONQ: Salisu invites Adegbite, Okereke, others

Enyimba FC duo Oluwatosin Adegbite and Sunday Okereke top the list of 32 players invited by U23 head coach Salisu Yusuf ahead of their forthcoming U23 AFCON qualifiers (U23AFCONQ).

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Sunday rolled out the list of players expected to begin training in Ibadan on Monday ahead of the second round clash with Tanzania.

Adegbite Is the captain of the U20s, the Flying Eagles, having led them to the WAFU B triumph in Niger earlier this year while Okereke has just joined the People’s Elephant after an impressive season.

Also included in the list are Remo Stars goalkeeper Kayode Bankole, Akwa United left back James Ajako, Rivers United’s Morice Chukwu and Plateau United star Mohammed Rabiu Zulkifilu.

The 32 players invited to camp by Coach Salisu Yusuf and crew will train in Ibadan until a final squad is selected to depart Nigeria on 18th October for Dar es Salaam, for the first leg match scheduled for the weekend of 21st – 23rd October.

The team will return to Ibadan to prepare for the return leg match that will hold at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba on Saturday, 29th October.
