Manchester United have been handed a difficult tie in the quarterfinal of the UEFA Champions League, UCL, after they were drawn against Barcelona on Friday.
In the draw held in the Swiss city of Nyon, United will take on Lionel Messi’s Barcelona, having just survived Paris Saint-Germain in the previous round.

The Red Devils, who overcame PSG on away goals following a 3-3 aggregate result, will host the first leg at Old Trafford after a decision that they and city rivals, City, will not play at home on the same night, nor on consecutive nights.
For Barcelona, it was an easy passage to the quarterfinal as they thrashed Lyon 5-1 with star man, Messi, in an imperious form.
The Argentine netted two goals and assists to lead Ernesto Valverde’s men into the quarterfinal.
United’s caretaker manager. Olé Gunnar Solskjaer, and his boys will need a repeat of their performance in the French capital, Paris, if they are to get past the La Liga giants.
Elsewhere, it is an all English quarterfinal as Tottenham Hotspur will take on Premier League champions, Manchester City.
Liverpool battle Portuguese side, FC Porto, while the other quarterfinal match will see Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus face Dutch champions, Ajax Amsterdam.
Meanwhile, in the Semifinal draw, the winners of the Manchester United and Barcelona game will face either Liverpool or Porto, while the other semifinal tie will see the winners of the game between Tottenham and Manchester City battle Juventus or Ajax.
Matches in the first leg will take place on April 9 and 10, while the second leg ties are billed for April 16 and 17.
