Benfica have been drawn against Turkish side, Fenerbahce in the third qualifying round of the 2018/2019 CL season.
Both sides meet again following their memorable encounter in the semifinal of the UEFA Europa league back in the 2012/2013 season, with Benfica taking that tie 4-2 on aggregate.
The match provides Ebuehi with the opportunity for his first taste of Europe’s elite club competition, and sees him continue his rise after a world cup appearance in Russia with Nigeria.

The 22-year-old joined Benfica on a free transfer from Dutch side, ADO Den Haag before flying out for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia with the Super Eagles, putting pen to paper on a five-year deal with the Portuguese giants.
Elsewhere, another Nigerian expected to be on CL duty is John Ogu, whose clubside, Hapoel Beer Sheva, were drawn against Croatian outfit, GNK Dinamo.
For Uche Agbo, the versatile midfielder who missed out on the world cup part, it’s a tricky tie when his Standard Liege team face former winners, Ajax Amsterdam of Holland.
The first and second leg ties are scheduled for 7/8 and 14 August, 2018.
