Odion Ighalo continued his fairytale stint at Manchester United after another goal scoring appearance for the English giants against LASK Linz on Thursday night.

Ighalo put in a man of the match worthy performance as United thrashed LASK 0-5 during their round of 16 Europa League first leg tie at an empty Linzer Stadion, Austria.

Defying the rampaging pandemic, Coronavirus, United travelled to Austria with Ighalo brilliant for the Red Devils in just his fourth start for the club since his January move.

The 2019 AFCON golden boot winner scored the first goal and assisted the second as United proved just too good for their hosts with a five-star display.

The 30-year-old former Nigerian international netted a stunning opener, juggling a Bruno Fernandes pass before letting fly from just outside the box into the roof of the net to put United 0-1 ahead at the break.

The goal was his fourth in just three starts for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men, with the Nigerian proving his worth following a shock transfer in January.

Other scorers for United on the night include Daniel James, who ended his 32-game goal drought, Juan Mata, and second half substitutes, Mason Greenwood and Andreas Pereira.

Meanwhile, United already have a foot in the UEL quarterfinals with this result, but their second leg tie at Old Trafford is in danger of not holding and could be forced to postpone the competition due to coronavirus.
