Volleyball: Bello, Okekearu, others for 13th African Games Camp

Topping the list of foreign players invited by the Volleyball Federation is red-hot Aisha Bello (National University Lady Bulldogs of Philippines), Mmesomachi Okekearu (Prestige International Aranmare of Japan) and Mercy Promise.

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation has invited 25 female players to camp ahead of the 13th African Games in Ghana next March, www.aclsports.com reports.

The players are expected to resume camp on 27th January, 2024 in Kaduna for the Nigeria Volleyball Federation sponsored exercise.

The list submitted by the head coach, Samuel Ajayi consists of three foreign players and 22 home based players.

Aisha Umaru (Nigeria Customs Service), Comfort Amaouwu (NSCDC), Tochukwu Nnoruga (Nigeria Customs Service) and Helen Umeh (Nigeria Customs Service) made their return after missing out of the list for the African Games Qualifiers early January.

Samuel Ajayi will be assisted by Ezechukwu Oguamalam and Jessica Egwuma during the camping period.

Nigeria finished fourth position at the 2019 African Games and will be looking forward to better her performance.
