The head coach of Kano Pillars Volleyball Club, Musa Babamusa said his focus is to win the men’s 2021 Nigeria Volleyball League (NVBL) title.

Kano Pillars occupied first position after the end of the first phase of the 2021 Nigeria Volleyball Premier League with 24 points after 9 matches.

Babamusa told www.aclsport.com that he is not being carried away by their latest position on the league table but their focus is set on lifting the trophy and featuring at the next Africa Club Championship.

The former National U20 Girls coach said, “I am not being carried away by our latest position on the league table but my ultimate goal is to give the people of Plateau State the volleyball trophy at the end of the season.

“Coming first in the NVBL league is very easy but to maintain that position till the end of the league is very difficult. That is why we worked very hard in the first round and we want to continue with the same zeal in the second stanza.

“I keep telling my boys that it is not over until it is finally over. The position we are today in the league is not just my effort but a collective effort of the players, coaching crew and Kano State Government.

“Though the management of the club did not give me any target, but as a human being, I will always want to set the target for myself because I do not want to just participate,

“I do not think there is any team better than mine, one thing is that we will keep our match plan and if we continue the way we started, we will get to our destination,” he stated.

The former Kano Superstar player said he will continue to give younger players playing time in order for them to become better and more established players in the age grade teams.
