Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has expressed confidence that Alexis Sanchez will be “100 per cent committed” to the club despite his Deadline Day move to Manchester City failed to materialise.
Wenger told beIN SPORTS that: “Your interest is always to perform and he is 100 per cent committed, I have no doubt about that.
“It’s very difficult for me to speak about what happened because what I want the player to do now is focus on his career, on his season and on Arsenal Football Club.
“I spoke before about integrity and values and I always make sure my commitment is at the level expected from the people who pay me and have confidence in me. I think the players’ side is exactly the same. Your interest is always to perform and he is 100 per cent committed, I have no doubt about that.

It will be recalled that Manchester City had made a £60 million bid for Sanchez which the Gunners accepted on Deadline Day. The deal, however, collapsed when Arsenal were unable to sign Thomas Lemar as a replacement from Monaco.
Sanchez’s Arsenal contract runs out next summer, leaving him free to be able to discuss a move with foreign clubs as soon as 2018 begins.
