Samuel Chukwueze was in good form at the weekend for Villarreal as they booked their place in the next round of the Copa del Rey in Spain.

Chukwueze provided the killer pass for the opening goal of the day, scored by Gerard Moreno, though the Submarines needed extra time to defeat the lower league side who equalised few minutes after the Chukuweze-inspired opener.

Chidozie Awaziem and Kenneth Omeruo joined Samu in the next round after Leganes thrashed Real Murcia 4-0.
However, only Awaziem of the Leganes duo played the game from start to finish with Omeruo missing the game entirely.
Oghenekaro Etebo failed to make his debut in the cup as Getafe lost 2-0 at Badalona. Etebo was a spectator on the bench as he watched helplessly his side’s defeat.
Granada defeated UD Tamaraceite 1-0 with Ramon Azeez on from start to finish and picking up a yellow card.
Elsewhere in Europe, Victor Osimhen was caged for 90 minutes at Dijon as Lille lost 1-0, while Samuel Kalu saw 36 minutes of action in Bordeaux’s 1-2 loss at home to Lyon in the French Ligue 1.
In the Serie A, Williams Troost-Ekong led his Udinese side to a clean sheet after a 3-0 defeat of Sassuolo at home.
Ekong was on from start to finish, with seven clearances and a chance created.
A defensive masterclass from Ola Aina helped Torino to a clean sheet and win, too, on Sunday.
Aina won five interceptions and one tackle as Torino defeated Bologna 1-0 at home.
Finally, in England, Wilfred Ndidi‘s absence saw Leicester City suffer a 1-2 loss at home to Southampton in the English Premier League.
Ndidi who is out till February due to an injury missed the game as Leicester were cut open so many times without the defensive shield of their Nigerian star.
Compatriot, Kelechi Iheanacho came on, later on, to help salvage at least a point, but was denied a goal by VAR.
At Goodison Park, Alex Iwobi was an obvious absentee as Everton defeated Brighton 1-0.
For Semi Ajayi, it was a yellow card and a 2-2 draw for him and West Bromwich Albion at Charlton Athletic.
