Flying Eagles striker Segun Otusanya completes FK Haugesund move…

Norwegian top division side FK Haugesund have signed Nigeria Flying Eagles rising prospect Segun Otusanya ahead of the new season, www.aclsports.com reports.

Otusanya, 18, an invitee to the Nigerian Flying Eagles squad that participated at the U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt few weeks ago joins Haugesund from Stars Builders Academy in Nigeria.

Otusanya narrowly missed out on Nigeria’s final squad for the tournament but had done enough in camp to distinguish himself, scoring with reckless frequency and enough to impress the ambitious Norwegian side.

The teenage striker has signed for Haugesund who finished tenth in the Norwegian top flight last term on a season-long loan deal with an obligation to buy at the end of it.

Otusanya who is renowned for his huge sense of positioning and incredible finishing instincts will join a long list of Nigerian footballers to have donned the colours of Haugesund; a list which includes Super Eagles assistant captain William Troost-Ekong.

FK Haugesund will open their campaign in the new Eliteserien League season on Monday April 10 with a trip to newly promoted side SK Brann.
