The Vice chairman of Mega Veterans Handball club, Jubril Saidu has indicated interest to reconstruct the Jos Township Handball Court located at the RanPam stadium in Plateau state.

Saidu who stated this in Abuja said it’s a way of encouraging handball in Jos.

The chairman Kogi State handball association noted that Plateau has produced great talents in the game both in the state and Nigeria.

He further expressed the commitment in ensuring the speedy completion of the court before the 2nd phase of Prudent Energy handball league by the release of adequate funds for the project.

“The renovation of the Jos Township Handball Court located at the RanPam stadium is my little contribution in making sure that handball does not die in Jos, the plateau state capital,” he said.

“Plateau state has once produced great handball players in Nigeria, this include; Nadabo Ibrahim, Aminu Ibrahim, Olivier, Late Hayyatu, Late Olu System, Hannatu Dada, Abdulmumini Ade, Victor Butrim, Aisha, Kekere and host of others.

Saidu who was recently appointed the chairman Kogi State handball association by the Kogi State government, sponsored Kogi U-12 and Confluence boys to the National U-12 and 4th Sam Ocheho Invitational Championship respectively.
