The 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League season continued on Sunday as Lobi Stars beat Kwara United 2-0 in Ilorin to stay joint-top of the log with Remo Stars, www.aclsports.com reports.

Lobi Stars went to the Ilorin Township Stadium to face the Harmony Boys in one of the match day 17 games in the top-flight. An own-goal from Godwin Oshagbemi and Stanley Oganbor added the second just before the break to lead the “Yes Father Boys” to their second away win of the season.

Gbenga Ogunbote’s Shooting Stars laboured to a 1-0 win over relegation-battling Bayelsa United at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan. Kareem Ademola scored the game’s only goal. Meanwhile, Remo Stars scored two late goals through substitute Aniekeme Okon to beat stubborn Sunshine Stars in Ikenne and extend their unbeaten run in the South-West derby to 14 games.

Kano Pillars also came from behind to beat Plateau United in Kano. In other results, Akwa United also came from a goal down to beat Abia Warriors 3-1 in Eket, while the relegation six-pointer between Niger Tornadoes and Heartland finished in a 3-2 win for the hosts.
