Stars Builders Academy Set For Ghana Pre-Season Tour
Fast rising Stars Builders Academy are set to embark on a pre-season tour of Ghana ahead of the 2023/24 Nigeria Nationwide League (NLO) season, www.aclsports.com reports.
The Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state based Stars Builders Academy had their promotion to the NLO confirmed on July 30, 2023 and have since began preparations for a worthy representation in the league.
Club chairman, Kayode Momoh, revealed that the main aim of the tour of Ghana is to extend the club’s frontiers beyond Nigeria and seek collaboration with organizations of similar values across West Africa.
“The primary goal of this trip for us is to meet and collaborate with clubs of similar values beyond our borders,” said Momoh to www.aclsports.com.
“This trip itself is as a result of our strategic partnership with FA Sport, a UK-based sports agency. We started working with them when they facilitated the transfer of our player, Segun Otusanya to Norway, and they are currently working on taking two other players from our club to the Scandinavian country in January,” he added.
During their stay in Ghana, Stars Builders Academy will play friendly games against lower division sides AS Koppan and Union Sportive D’avranches as part of their schedule.
The Nationwide League One is the third tier of the Nigerian football league system. It must be stressed that Stars Builders Academy gained promotion to the league for the first time in their history at the end of the 2022/23 season.
